"My experience using EchoBox has been great. The settings I have found it most helpful is when we have sonographers doing complex cases, especially in the area of congenital heart disease off-site…
We can easily guide them… It is really easy to logon, to direct the sonographer in real-time to let them know you are in the right spot. The other situation I have found it helpful in is when we are on call, have left for the day, and an emergency case comes in. A fellow or sonographer when scanning in the middle of the night needs help if
it is an acute issue that needs to be dealt with right away. We can easily logon to EchoBox from home and have the real-time interplay that can facilitate patient management in these emergency situations like pericardial tamponade or acute valvular emergencies where patients need to go to the operating room immediately. It has facilitated transfer of care because it does not take the time to save the images and logon through the remote site."
